60+ Years of Heritage & The Heilige Geist Chapel
At a time when tarred roads did not extend to Jan Jonker Road, the City of Windhoek gave the Cathedral parish twelve hectares to establish a school. From those humble beginnings, St Paul's has grown into one of Namibia's most respected institutions.
At the heart of that story stands our chapel, the Heilige Geist Kirche (Church of the Holy Ghost). Built in 1957 as a semi-parish church for the German-speaking Catholic community, it became a spiritual home for generations of students. The fresco behind the altar depicts the descent of the Holy Spirit.
